"MINDFULNESS MEANS PAYING ATTENTION IN A PARTICULAR WAY;
ON PURPOSE, IN THE PRESENT MOMENT AND NON-JUDGEMENTALLY"
- JON KABAT-ZINN
First of all I'd like to say welcome to Mu Mind's website.
My name is Gabriel Danu and I am a qualified Mindfulness Practitioner.
I have been practicing meditation and other spiritual philosophies for over 10 years now, of which a few relate to Mindfulness and the practices that Mindfulness entails. In 2018 I decided to enroll myself onto two Diploma courses; one in meditation and the other in Mindfulness, so that I could officially teach Mindfulness and meditation to others.
Practicing Mindfulness, meditation and other spiritual philosophies is something I am very passionate about and love so very much.
Even though I am qualified I still see myself as a student and fully intend on pursuing and enhancing my skills and knowledge in Mindfulness and other subjects, so I may better myself and become the best Mindfulness Practitioner I can become.
About Mu Mind
Once I became qualified and started to run classes I decided I wanted to create a name to practice under and that name is 'Mu Mind'.
The name Mu Mind derives from the Japanese Zen Buddhist word 'Mu', which roughly translates to 'No', 'Empty' or 'To be without' and comes from a famous Zen Koan.
I chose to practice under the name Mu Mind as a way of saying I wish to achieve a state of 'No Mind' or 'Learning to be without mind', when you can achieve such a state you become more aware and more present in the moment, which is what Mindfulness is all about.
Presently I am running classes part time but there are a lot of things in the works for Mu Mind and many more things to come.
